Hey there, everyone! Welcome back to another exciting car review. Today, I’m cruising around in the all-new 2023 Infiniti QX60, which the fine folks at Infinity Lebanon have kindly loaned to me for a test spin. And, oh, I’ve got my snazzy new glasses on – do let me know what you think of my fresh look! But we’re not here to talk about eyewear; we’re here to dive into the redesigned QX60.
Stylish Exterior Redesign
First things first, the 2023 QX60 has undergone a complete makeover. I have to say, I’m head over heels for its new look. To me, it has that Range Rover Sport vibe, with a clean and minimalistic design that’s hard to resist. Check out those slim LED daytime running lights – they’re sleek and impressive. And the view from the cockpit is just lovely. I’m currently in Arini ICN – a place that used to be a broadcast station. But it’s pretty desolate now, mostly thanks to some treacherous potholes. Nevertheless, the QX60 glides over these bumps like a pro, thanks in part to the all-wheel-drive system.
Now, let’s take a quick look at the trunk – simply give it a gentle kick, and voila! You’ve got plenty of cargo space back there, which is perfect for a family vehicle. Everything’s automatic, and with a press of a button, all’s back in place. And when it comes to the rear seats, they’re mighty impressive. We’ve got shades, 17 Bose performance speakers, cubby spaces, and big door bins. You hit a button, and, just like magic, it moves forward, allowing for easy entry to the rear. And I’ve got to say, once you’re back there, it’s pretty comfortable.
Luxurious Interior
Before we delve into the cabin, let’s talk about these fabulous new redesigns. Infiniti has seriously upped their game in this department. We’re talking about an interior that no longer feels dated – something that was an issue with previous Infiniti models. The new QX60 boasts a beautifully leather-wrapped steering wheel with power shifters behind it. The buttons on the left control the center screen, allowing you to navigate through various display modes.
The 12.3-inch screen in front of you, matched with a similar-sized screen over here, has this sleek floating look that’s seriously appealing. And there’s no longer a dated infotainment system to whine about – this new generation is snappy, responsive, and equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The separate climate control system is a smart touch, allowing you to control your heated seats and fan speed with the press of a button, completely independent of the infotainment screen.
What’s more, these leather-appointed seats are comfortable, supportive, and come with massage functions. And the interior has a pleasing amount of space for you and your gear. Plus, you’ve got power outlets and plenty of cubby space to make your drive all the more convenient.
Under the Hood
Beneath that sleek exterior, you’ll find a 3.5-liter V6 engine, packing 279 horsepower and 350 Newton-meters of torque, all mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The great news is that it handles all that power admirably without any jerky or clunky issues.
And when you hit the brakes, they respond with precision and efficiency, even for a larger SUV. It’s clear that the QX60 was designed to be practical and comfortable.
Driving Impressions
Driving on the somewhat imperfect roads of Lebanon, it’s easy to appreciate the QX60’s suspension system. It’s designed for comfort, and it delivers beautifully. In fact, there’s no shortage of comfort in this vehicle, particularly in the rear seats. As for power delivery, it’s good enough for a car of this type. Power is available when you need it, thanks to the 350 Newton-meters of torque, and the brakes feel incredibly responsive.
The QX60 may not be a corner carver, but that’s perfectly fine – it’s not designed for that. Instead, it prioritizes a comfortable and smooth ride. There’s a noticeable lack of body roll, and the suspension handles road bumps with grace. Furthermore, you have multiple driving modes, including personal, auto, eco, and sport.
Final Thoughts
So, what’s the final verdict on the 2023 Infiniti QX60? This SUV offers a blend of luxury, comfort, and performance that’s hard to resist. With its modern redesign, improved interior, and tech updates, Infiniti has taken a significant leap forward. From the satisfying climate control system to the snappy infotainment system, this car is a winner. While it may not be a sports car, the power delivery is more than adequate for its purpose.
The QX60 is all about providing a serene, comfortable driving experience, which it does brilliantly. Plus, with its seven seats and ample cargo space, it’s a practical family choice.
So there you have it – the 2023 Infiniti QX60 offers luxury and value, and it’s definitely worth considering, especially when you’re not eager to drop Range Rover Sport money.
